Film workshops with Canon equipment took place in Warsaw 2015 in Film Studio in Chełmska Street 21. The event was part of the 5th International Documentary Film Festival HumanDoc.

It needs to be emphasised that this was not the first event of this kind in the history of our Festival. One year ago, in Kinoteka cinema, participants had the opportunity to test the equipment during workshops “Canon in documentaries. Solutions, possibilities, examples. Technical, artistic, economical aspects”. Entry was free of charge for anyone who wished to participate.

Workshops in 2015 were dedicated to people who make films professionally. They were run i.a. by Filip Kovcin and lasted four hours (12-4pm). The workshops were divided into two parts: during the first one the main focus was on the equipment which can be used to make video, like reflex camera, documentary cameras, EOS Cinema cameras. Participants could learn about general characteristics of each one of them, familiarise themselves with the ways and methods of choosing the right lens, depending on the conditions and profile of their work and learn about differences between „L” class lenses and film lenses.

Co-organisers: HumanDoc Foundation, Canon Polska, Profesional Photography Shop Proclub provided us with cameras XF, XA, Canon Cinema EOS.

In the second part of the workshops participants used their fresh knowledge during practical exercises, performing group activities in the open air.
