Poland. Help during #lockdown – We Train Specialists

Trainings for the psychologists regarding the domestic violence during quarantine

HumanDoc Foundation together with the Specialized Support Centre for the Domestic Violence Victims in Opole organized free trainings in reacting to domestic violence during the quarantine. The trainings were our response to the needs of psychologists, teachers, pedagogues and policemen, who in the time of #lockdown were looking for the support to be able to help others better and more effectively.

Our trainings were conducted by very experienced psychotherapists, Natalia Czarnecka and Edyta Rybak, who work as experts in the Specialized Support Centre for the Domestic Violence Victims in Opole. Topics covered during the trainings were connected with the reaction to domestic violence towards adults, children and youth.

Trainings were free of charge. They were held via ClickMeeting platform in the form of Q&A (questions and answers). Experts answered, what to do when the police belittle the notifications, or how to talk online to people who experience violence. The experts explained in detail the scheme, how to talk with a child about domestic violence and how to help them.

The participants had the opportunity to ask about every case that was intriguing for them. Questions and case studies were sent to the moderator of the meeting, who in turn presented them to the experts. 180 people participated in these trainings.
